How it works:

1. Press "Upload file" where you would typically paste in your text in Spiral.

2. Spiral loads in all of the text from the file in less than a second.

3. Press “Run.”

Now you can fine-tune how Spiral works using custom instructions!

🎨 Two ways to instruct:

• Persistent instructions: Set default instructions that apply to every Spiral run

• One-Time instructions: Add specific instructions for individual runs

💡 How to Use It:

  1. Click “Set custom instructions”

  2. Write out your instruction, it could be anything from using a different language to ending with a particular sign off

  3. 🌀 Spiral checks to make sure there’s no issues with your instructions and the Spirals style guide

  4. Hit the save button if you want this instruction to apply to every Spiral run

  5. Run!

Improved

We've upgraded Spiral to use Anthropic's latest Claude 3.5 Sonnet model. This brings significant improvements to how Spiral processes your content, including better understanding of example nuances, more consistent tone and style across outputs, and more natural, human-like writing. You should notice higher-quality results when running your existing Spirals or creating new ones.

When editing an existing Spiral, you can now edit its pattern rather than overwriting it. This is helpful if you like your Spiral's outputs but want to make tweaks to the existing pattern rather than extracting an entirely new one.
